Ingredients

  • 4 jalapeno peppers
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Cut each jalapeno pepper in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes.

  3. In a small bowl, mix together the shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.

  4. Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeno half and press it down gently.

  5. Wrap each jalapeno half with a slice of bacon, making sure to secure it with a toothpick if needed.

  6. Place the bacon-wrapped jalapenos on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
