Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup vermicelli
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 10-12 cashews
  • 10-12 raisins
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • 1 teaspoon crushed cardamom
  • 1 tablespoon chopped almonds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a pan, add cashews and raisins. Fry until golden brown. Set aside.

  2. In the same pan, add vermicelli and roast until golden brown.

  3. In another pan, heat milk and bring it to a boil.

  4. Add the roasted vermicelli to the milk and simmer for 10-12 minutes or until the vermicelli is cooked.

  5. Add sugar and mix well until it dissolves completely.

  6. Add cardamom powder, crushed cardamom, fried cashews, and raisins. Mix well.

  7. Cook for another 2-3 minutes and turn off the heat.

  8. Garnish with chopped almonds (optional).

  9. Serve hot or cold.
