How To Make Seared Duck with Ginger Mash

Ingredients

  • 4 duck breasts
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 1/4 cup chopped chives

Instructions

  1. Season the duck breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.

  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the duck breasts for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Set aside and let them rest.

  3. In a separate pan, melt butter over medium heat and add grated ginger. Cook for 2 minutes until fragrant.

  4. Add the mashed potatoes to the pan and stir well to combine with the ginger butter mixture. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  5. Slice the rested duck breasts and serve over the ginger mash. Garnish with chopped chives.
