How To Make Cider Can Soy-Glazed Duck

Ingredients

  • 1 whole duck
  • 1/2 cup cider
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Remove the giblets from the duck and pat it dry with paper towels.

  3. In a small bowl, mix together the cider, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, honey, salt, and pepper.

  4. Place the duck on a rack in a roasting pan and pour the cider mixture over the duck.

  5. Carefully position the can of cider inside the duck’s cavity, using the can as a stand.

  6. Roast the duck in the preheated oven for 1 hour 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

  7. Every 30 minutes, baste the duck with the pan juices.

  8. Remove the duck from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.

  9. Serve the duck garnished with green onions.
