How To Make Best Ever Roast Duck Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 whole duck (about 4-5 pounds)
- 2 tablespoons of salt
- 1 tablespoon of black pepper
- 2 teaspoons of Chinese five spice powder
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 inch of ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).

Rinse the duck inside and out, then pat dry with paper towels.

In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, and five spice powder.

Rub the mixture all over the duck, including the cavity.

Place the duck on a rack in a roasting pan, breast-side up.

Roast the duck in the preheated oven for 1 hour.

While the duck is roasting, mix together the minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar in a small bowl.

After 1 hour, remove the duck from the oven and brush the garlic-ginger mixture all over the duck.

Return the duck to the oven and continue roasting for another hour, or until the skin is crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Take the duck out of the oven and let it rest for about 15 minutes before carving.

Serve the roasted duck with steamed rice or your favorite side dishes.
