How To Make Millet and Black Bean Burgers

These vegan burgers are packed with protein and flavor, perfect for a meatless meal.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked millet
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a fork.

  2. Add in the cooked millet, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  3. Form the mixture into 4 patties.

  4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  5. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and heated through.

  6. Serve on buns with your favorite toppings.
