Ingredients

  • 2 cans (15 oz each) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a fork until chunky.

  2. Add breadcrumbs, onion, bell pepper, garlic, cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix well.

  3. Shape the mixture into 4 burger patties.

  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.

  5. Cook the burgers for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they are crispy and heated through.

  6. Serve the black bean burgers on buns with your favorite toppings and condiments.
