How To Make Cardamom Butter Chicken

Ingredients
- 500g boneless chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- 2 teaspoons ground cardamom
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions

Heat butter and oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onions and cook until golden brown.

Add garlic and ginger paste to the pan and sauté for a minute.

In a small bowl, mix together ground cardamom, cumin, coriander, turmeric, and red chili powder. Add this spice mixture to the pan and cook for 2 minutes.

Add chicken pieces to the pan and cook until browned on all sides.

Reduce heat to low and stir in yogurt and heavy cream. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.

Season with salt according to taste.

Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
