  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 shallots, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 cup seafood broth
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.

  2. Add minced shallots and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.

  3. Pour in white wine and seafood broth, and bring to a simmer.

  4. In a separate small bowl, mix butter and flour to form a paste.

  5. Gradually add the butter-flour paste to the simmering sauce, whisking constantly until thickened.

  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  7. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley.

  8. Serve hot over your favorite seafood dishes.
