Ingredients

  • 2 cans (15 ounces each) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water, or as needed

Instructions

  1. Place the chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, and salt into the Vitamix blender.

  2. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy, adding water as needed to achieve desired consistency.

  3. Stop the blender and scrape down the sides if necessary.

  4. Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and garnish with a drizzle of olive oil, a sprinkle of cumin, and a few chickpeas, if desired.

  5. Serve with pita bread, fresh vegetables, or as a spread on sandwiches or wraps.
