Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: extra olive oil, paprika, chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Rinse and drain the chickpeas.

  2. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, salt, and pepper.

  3. Process until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.

  4. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

  5. Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and drizzle with extra olive oil. Sprinkle with paprika and chopped parsley if desired.

  6. Serve with pita bread, vegetables, or crackers.
