Ingredients
- 8 medium-sized tomatoes, diced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions

Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the diced tomatoes, sugar, basil, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.

Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook uncovered for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
