Ingredients

  • 1 can (400g) of tomato puree
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon cloves

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the tomato puree, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, mustard powder, salt, black pepper, paprika, cinnamon, and cloves.

  2. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

  3. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  4. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 30-40 minutes, or until the ketchup has thickened to your desired consistency.

  5. Remove from heat and let it cool completely before serving.

  6. Transfer the homemade ketchup into a jar or bottle and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
