  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 4 French rolls, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).

  2. In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef roast and brown it on all sides.

  3. Transfer the browned beef roast to a slow cooker.

  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.

  5. Pour the mixture over the beef roast in the slow cooker.

  6. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 4 hours or until the beef is tender and can be easily shredded with a fork.

  7. Once cooked, remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.

  8. Strain the liquid from the slow cooker and reserve it for dipping.

  9. Serve the shredded beef on French rolls and serve with the reserved liquid for dipping.
