How To Make Sunflower Seed Bread

A deliciously nutty and wholesome bread that’s perfect for sandwiches or toast.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.

  2. In a large bowl, mix together the sunflower seeds, all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the honey, milk, eggs, and vegetable oil.

  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

  5. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  6. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
