Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup flaxseeds
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, yeast, and salt.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the honey and warm water until the honey is dissolved. Let it sit for a few minutes until frothy.

  3. Pour the frothy honey mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.

  4. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.

  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a bread pan.

  7. Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it into the prepared bread pan.

  8. Let the dough rise again for about 30 minutes, or until it has risen slightly above the rim of the pan.

  9. Bake the bread in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until it is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

  10. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
