Ingredients

  • 1 cup cranberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup port wine
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp orange zest

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the cranberries, sugar, port wine, water, and orange zest.

  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens, about 10-15 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat and let cool before serving.

  4. Serve as a side dish with roast meats or as a spread on toast or crackers.
