How To Make Peppermint Meringue Cookies

Ingredients
- 2 egg whites
- 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
- Red food coloring
Instructions

Preheat oven to 200°F (93°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.

Gradually add sugar, 1 tbsp at a time, beating until stiff peaks form.

Beat in peppermint extract and food coloring.

Drop mixture by spoonfuls onto parchment paper, forming small mounds.

Bake for 1 hour, or until cookies are dry and crisp.
