How To Make Ground Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms

Delicious, savory mushrooms stuffed with ground sausage, perfect as an appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

  • 12 large cremini mushrooms
  • 1/2 lb ground sausage
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Clean the mushrooms and remove the stems. Finely chop the stems and set aside.

  3. In a frying pan over medium-high heat, cook the sausage until browned. Add the chopped mushroom stems, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook until the mushrooms are tender.

  4. Mix in the breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.

  5. Spoon the sausage mixture into the mushroom caps and place them on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil.

  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is golden brown.

  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
