How To Make Sausage & Leek Mash Pie

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 sausages, casings removed
  • 2 leeks, sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 3 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. In a large skillet, cook the sausages over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add the leeks and garlic. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.

  4. Meanwhile, place the potatoes in a pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.

  5. Add the milk, butter, salt, and pepper to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy.

  6. Stir in the cooked sausages, leeks, and garlic into the mashed potatoes.

  7. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and smooth the top.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and the filling is heated through.

  9. Serve hot and enjoy!
