How To Make Mixed Vegetable Biryani Recipe

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups basmati rice
  • 4 cups water
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, beans, corn)
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • Fried onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Wash the rice and soak it for 20 minutes. Drain and keep aside.

  2. Heat oil in a pan and saute onions till golden brown.

  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for a minute.

  4. Add mixed vegetables and saute for 2-3 minutes.

  5. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.

  6. Add rice and saute for 2-3 minutes.

  7. Add water, mint leaves, and coriander leaves. Mix well.

  8. Cover and cook on low flame till rice is cooked and water is absorbed.

  9. Garnish with fried onions and serve hot.
