How To Make Green Pea and Avocado Toast Recipe

This is a refreshing and healthy dish that is perfect for a light breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of whole wheat bread
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 cup of frozen green peas
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1/8 tsp of black pepper
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil

Instructions

  1. Toast the whole wheat bread in a toaster or under the broiler until crispy.

  2. Heat a small saucepan over medium heat and add the frozen green peas. Cook for 3-5 minutes until tender and heated through.

  3. Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit. Scoop the flesh into a bowl and mash with a fork. Squeeze in the juice of 1/2 lemon and season with salt and pepper.

  4. Spread the mashed avocado onto each toast and divide the cooked green peas evenly between them. Drizzle with olive oil and serve immediately.
