Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
  • 4 Anaheim peppers, sliced into thin strips
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, water, cornstarch, honey, garlic, ginger, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.

  2. Heat vegetable oil and sesame oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.

  3. Add beef and stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes, until browned.

  4. Add Anaheim peppers and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.

  5. Pour the sauce into the wok and stir to coat the meat and peppers.

  6. Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened and the beef is fully cooked.

  7. Garnish with green onions and serve hot.
