How To Make Salt & Pepper Turkey

Ingredients
- 1 whole turkey (12-14 lbs)
- 1/4 cup salt
- 1/4 cup black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).

Remove the giblets and rinse the turkey thoroughly.

Pat the turkey dry with paper towels.

In a small bowl, mix together the salt and black pepper.

Rub the entire turkey with olive oil.

Sprinkle the salt and black pepper mixture evenly over the turkey, making sure to cover all sides.

Place the turkey on a roasting rack in a roasting pan.

Roast the turkey in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes before carving.
