How To Make Puffy Taco Shells

Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup water
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions

In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add water to the flour mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 2-3 minutes until smooth.

Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out each dough ball into a 6-inch circle.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

Carefully place the flattened dough circles, one at a time, into the hot oil and fry for about 1 minute on each side until golden and puffy.

Remove the taco shells from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Repeat steps 7 and 8 with the remaining dough circles.

Once the taco shells have cooled slightly, they are ready to be filled with your favorite ingredients.
