How To Make Hot Apple Cider Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of apple juice
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 teaspoon of whole cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon of honey (optional)
  • Orange slices, for garnish
  • Cinnamon sticks, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the apple juice, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and nutmeg.

  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it starts to simmer.

  3. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

  4. Stir in honey, if desired, for added sweetness.

  5. Remove from heat and strain the cider to remove the spices.

  6. Serve hot in mugs, garnished with orange slices and cinnamon sticks.
