How To Make Garlic Prime Rib Recipe

Ingredients
- 4 lbs prime rib roast
- 6 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).

In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, and thyme to make a paste.

Rub the garlic paste all over the prime rib roast, covering it completely.

Place the roast on a rack in a roasting pan and insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the meat.

Roast the prime rib for 15 minutes at 450°F (230°C) to sear the outside.

Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (160°C) and continue roasting until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness:

– 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare

– 140°F (60°C) for medium

– 150°F (66°C) for medium-well

– 160°F (71°C) for well done

Remove the prime rib from the oven and tent it with aluminum foil. Let it rest for 15 minutes before carving.

Slice the prime rib into thick slices and serve.
