- 4 cups potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 cup onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
