How To Make Shrimp and Fish Chowder Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb white fish fillets, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, melt butter over medium heat.

  2. Add onion and garlic and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.

  3. Add potatoes and cook for another 5 minutes.

  4. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 15-20 minutes, until potatoes are soft.

  5. Add shrimp and fish and cook until seafood is cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

  6. Pour in heavy cream and stir until well combined. Season with salt and pepper.

  7. Let simmer for a few more minutes until heated through.

  8. Stir in chopped parsley and serve hot.
