How To Make Apple Butter for the Slow Cooker

Ingredients
- 6 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions

Place the chopped apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice, and salt in a slow cooker.

Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

Cook on low heat for 7-8 hours, stirring occasionally.

After 7-8 hours, the apples will be very soft. Use an immersion blender or a regular blender to puree the mixture until smooth.

Stir in the lemon juice and cook for an additional 30 minutes on low heat.

Turn off the slow cooker and let the apple butter cool completely before transferring it to jars or containers.

Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
