Ingredients

  • 500g white fish fillets
  • 200g peeled and chopped potatoes
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. In a large pan, boil the potatoes until tender. Drain and mash them into a coarse texture.

  3. In a separate pan, melt the butter and sauté the onion and garlic until soft.

  4. Add the flour to the pan and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

  5. Gradually whisk in the milk and vegetable broth until smooth and thickened.

  6. Add the frozen peas, fish fillets, parsley, salt, and pepper to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring gently.

  7. Transfer the mixture into a baking dish and spread the mashed potatoes on top, creating a rosti-like layer.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes until the fish is cooked through and the rosti is golden and crispy.

  9. Serve hot and enjoy!
