Total: 20 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh white fish fillets, diced
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 cucumber, seeded and diced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Salt to taste
  • Tortilla chips, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the fish, lime juice, and lemon juice. Make sure the fish is fully covered by the juices. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes, or until the fish turns opaque.

  2. Drain the fish, discarding the marinade. Add the red onion, tomatoes, cucumber, jalapeno pepper, and cilantro to the fish. Mix well to combine.

  3. Season with salt to taste. Refrigerate for another 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

  4. Serve the ceviche chilled with tortilla chips.
