  • 1 lb fresh white fish (such as tilapia or cod), cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 red onion, finely diced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 ripe avocado, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Tortilla chips, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the fish, lime juice, red onion, jalapeno, cilantro, and avocado.

  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours) to allow the flavors to meld.

  4. Serve the ceviche chilled with tortilla chips on the side.
