
How To Make Reverse-Sear Prime Rib Roast

Ingredients
- 1 (4-pound) prime rib roast
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C).

Rub the prime rib with olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper.

Place the roast on a wire rack in a roasting pan and insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the roast.

Slowly roast the prime rib in the preheated oven for about 2 ½ to 3 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness (135°F for medium-rare, 145°F for medium).

Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes.

Preheat the broiler on high.

Place the prime rib back in the oven under the broiler for about 4-5 minutes, or until the top is browned and crispy.

Remove from the oven and tent with foil. Let it rest for another 10 minutes.

Slice and serve the reverse-sear prime rib roast.
