Ingredients
- 4 lbs rib roast
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp minced garlic
- 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp black pepper
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).

Rub the rib roast with olive oil, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, salt, and black pepper.

Place the rib roast on a rack in a roasting pan, fat side up.

Roast the rib roast in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.

Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (165°C) and continue roasting for about 20 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.

Remove the rib roast from the oven and tent it loosely with aluminum foil. Let it rest for 15-20 minutes before carving.
