Ingredients

  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (14 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.

  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, and cook until browned.

  4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  5. Serve the spaghetti with the sauce on top, and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
