How To Make Charred Broccoli, Lemon & Walnut Pasta

Ingredients

  • 8 oz of spaghetti
  • 1 head of broccoli, cut into florets
  • 1 lemon, zest and juice
  • ½ cup of walnuts, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the broccoli florets and cook until charred, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  4. Add the cooked spaghetti, charred broccoli, lemon zest, lemon juice, and chopped walnuts to the skillet. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.

  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Serve the pasta hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese.
