How To Make Homemade Beer Battered Chicken Nuggets

Prep: 15 mins
Cook: 15 mins
Total: 30 mins

  • 10 oz chicken breast, boneless and skinless, cut into bite-sized nugget pieces
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • cups beer, of your choice
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 5 cups vegetable oil

To Serve:

  • 1 cup balsamic bbq
  • 1 cup honey-onion mustard sauce

  1. Prepare a pot heated with oil for deep frying.

  2. In a bowl, sift together the flour, cornstarch, and salt.

  3. Add the beer and egg. Whisk until you achieve a batter-like consistency

  4. Dip the chicken pieces into the batter, making sure that the pieces are well coated.

  5. Slowly lower the pieces into the hot oil and let them fry for 2 to 5 minutes until they turn golden brown.

  6. Once the pieces are done frying, remove them and let them sit on a paper towel to absorb the extra oil. Repeat this process until all the chicken pieces have been fried.

  7. Plate your chicken nuggets and serve with a dipping sauce of your choice. Enjoy!
