How To Make Amazingly Tasty and Crispy Chicken Schnitzel
Fried food never tasted this good! Here are some fried recipes to turn boring fried dishes to a tasty and grand feast!
Serves:
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and place a wire rack on a baking sheet. This will keep the cooked schnitzels crispy while you finish frying the rest.
-
Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound them until they are about 1/4 inch thick.
-
Set up your breading station by placing the flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs in separate shallow dishes. Add the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika to the breadcrumbs and mix well.
-
Coat each chicken breast in flour, shaking off any excess. Dip it into the beaten eggs, making sure it is fully coated. Then press it into the seasoned breadcrumbs, pressing firmly to adhere the crumbs to the chicken.
-
Heat enough vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat to coat the bottom of the pan. Add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer the cooked schnitzels to the prepared wire rack and keep warm in the oven.
-
Repeat the breading and frying process with the remaining chicken breasts.
-
Serve the chicken schnitzels hot with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the top.
