How To Make Turkey Shepherd’s Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground turkey until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, sauté the onion, carrots, and garlic until softened.

  4. Add the cooked turkey back to the skillet and stir in the frozen peas, chicken broth, tomato paste, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.

  5. Transfer the turkey mixture to a baking dish and spread the mashed potatoes evenly on top.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the mashed potatoes are golden brown.

  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
