Ingredients

  • 4 cups of bread cubes
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • Maple syrup and powdered sugar for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.

  2. Place the bread cubes in the prepared baking dish.

  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.

  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes, making sure to evenly coat them.

  5. Press down on the bread cubes slightly to help them absorb the liquid.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.

  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

  8. Serve warm with maple syrup and a dusting of powdered sugar.
