How To Make Eggs Benedict Casserole Recipe

Ingredients
- 4 English muffins, split and toasted
- 8 slices of ham
- 8 large eggs
- 1 cup of milk
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
- 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh chives
- hollandaise sauce:
- 3 large egg yolks
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Arrange the toasted English muffins in the bottom of the dish. Top each muffin half with a slice of ham.

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour the egg mixture over the ham and muffins in the dish.

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and chopped chives over the top.

Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the cheese is melted and golden brown.

While the casserole is baking, prepare the hollandaise sauce. In a heatproof bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and lemon juice.

Place the bowl over a pot of simmering water and whisk constantly until the mixture thickens, about 4-5 minutes.

Slowly drizzle in the melted butter while continuing to whisk until the sauce is thick and creamy. Season with salt and cayenne pepper.

Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Drizzle the hollandaise sauce over the top before serving.
