How To Make Cheese Grits Casserole

- 1 cup grits
- 4 cups water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs, beaten
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.

In a large saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Stir in the grits, salt, and black pepper. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove the grits from the heat and stir in the butter, shredded cheddar cheese, and milk until everything is well combined.

Gradually add the beaten eggs to the grits mixture, stirring constantly.

Pour the grits mixture into the greased baking dish and smooth the top with a spoon.
