Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 30 minutes
Total: 40 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup Marsala wine
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper, then dredge them in flour.

  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the pork chops until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add mushrooms and cook until they release their liquid and begin to brown, about 5 minutes.

  4. Add Marsala wine to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.

  5. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes, or until the sauce has reduced slightly.

  6. Stir in butter until melted and well combined.

  7. Return the pork chops to the skillet and simmer for an additional 5 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through.

  8. Serve the pork chops with the mushroom Marsala sauce on top, garnished with chopped parsley.
