Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

  2. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and minced garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and softened.

  4. Add the chicken broth, soy sauce, honey, and dried thyme to the skillet. Stir well to combine.

  5. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cover and cook for 10-12 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.

  6. Serve the braised chicken over rice or with your favorite side dishes. Garnish with fresh parsley.
