Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 stalks celery, sliced
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sliced celery. Cook until the celery is tender, about 5 minutes.

  4. Return the chicken to the skillet and add the apple cider, chicken broth, and thyme leaves. Bring to a simmer.

  5. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the flavors have melded together.

  6. Serve the chicken with the braised celery and cider sauce on top. Enjoy!
