Ingredients

  • 4 sea bass fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 1 fennel bulb, thinly sliced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon of coriander
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the minced garlic, paprika, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper.

  3. Rub the sea bass fillets with the spice mixture, ensuring they are coated evenly.

  4. Heat some olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.

  5. Sear the sea bass fillets for 2-3 minutes on each side until they develop a golden crust.

  6. Scatter the sliced fennel bulb and lemon slices around the fish in the skillet.

  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  8. Remove from the oven and serve hot.
