How To Make Creamy Cauliflower Au Gratin with Bacon
Enjoy a filling and creamy bite in this cauliflower au gratin, made with bacon and cheese, and topped with breadcrumbs for a crumbly finish.

Ingredients
- 1cauliflower head,cut into large florets
- ½lbSmithfield Cherrywood Stack Pack Bacon,chopped
- 5tbspbutter
- ¼cupflour
- 2cupsmilk
- 1¼cupsGruyere,grated
- 1tspsalt
- ½tsppepper
For Topping:
- ¼cupparmesan cheese,freshly grated
- 2tbspbutter,melted
- ¼cupbread crumbs
Instructions

Steam or boil cauliflower for about 5 minutes until just tender but still firm. Drain and place in an 8×8-inch casserole dish

In a medium sized skillet add the bacon pieces. Cook until crisp and sprinkle on top of the cauliflower.

In a medium sized saucepan add the butter and melt. Add the flour and cook about 1 minute until it thickens. Slowly whisk in the milk and add in cheese, salt and pepper.

Whisk until cheese is melted and sauce has thickened. Pour evenly over the cauliflower and bacon.

Top with parmesan cheese. Mix bread crumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the top. Bake at 375 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes or until bubbly and slightly brown at the top.
