Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of chard
  • 1 lemon, zest grated
  • 200g cheese, grated (such as cheddar or Gruyere)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pre-made pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Remove the stems from the chard leaves and discard. Finely chop the chard leaves.

  3. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until softened.

  4. Add the chopped chard leaves to the pan and cook until wilted.

  5. Remove the pan from heat and stir in the lemon zest and grated cheese. Season with salt and pepper.

  6. Roll out the pie crust and line a pie dish with it. Pour the chard mixture into the crust.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the filling is set.

  8. Allow the pie to cool for a few minutes before serving.
