Ingredients

  • 500g ground lamb
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add onions and cook until golden brown.

  2. Add garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Saute for a minute.

  3. Add ground lamb and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.

  4. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala. Mix well.

  5. Stir in tomato puree and season with salt. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  6. Add 1 cup of water, cover the pan, and simmer for 20 minutes.

  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan.
